Hi there,
Hope you are doing good. It's been long I haven't written on my blog. I was learning from life of mine as well as others. While, learning I have discovered that there are 3 major factors for our balanced or we can say happy life. Who don't want happy life? Every single living creature on earth want happy life and we humans are blessed to have brain who can think and control more own life. So, your happiness is outcome of your decisions and your habits. We will discuss today which 3 factors play major role in our life. 1. Physical Health: Yes, You have heard it right. Physical health. You might be thinking we know dude. Yes, I am aware that most of you guys know that. But question is, are we taking care of our physical health? What are we doing for it? Because, No one can be happy or give 100% anywhere if his/her physical health is not perfectly fine. So, allocate at least 30 mins of your day for physical health every day (anyhow) Eat healthy food, do exercise, yoga have schedule and bla bla bla You know everything but you need to act. Give promise to yourself that you will take one small good action towards your physical health. And then see the positive results in your life in long run. 2. Financial Health This is something for what we are running day and night. Everyone is busy in earning, everyone want to earn as much as possible. But! Have you learned to manage it? That's big question! No school college thought us how to manage our personal finances. Let's understand it with example: Ram is doing a job in IT company and earning INR 40,000/month and living happy life. He is strict with his expenses and on an average he spends INR 18,000 every month for daily life expenses. On other hand Shyam is doing a job in MNC company with paycheque of 90,000/month and living luxurious life purchasing gadgets and many things on EMI and his approximate monthly expense is INR 80,000/month. Ultimately, at the end of the month Shyam has INR 22,000 and Ram has INR 10,000 in their respective bank accounts. Hope you got my point. If you want to learn how to manage personal finances then read my 40:30:20:10 Rule 3. Mental (Relationship) Health Relationship health plays vital role in our life. If you had fight with you parents or friend or spouse or Girlfriend/Boyfriend then you can not be happy for that day. Your subconscious mind has glimpse and fight and keeps you busy in thinking about it. You need to learn how to manage your relationships. With your wife, your husband, your parents, your colleague, your friends. If you will be mentally relaxed with your outer atmosphere, you have won half war (trust me). Hope you guys will start following this from right now! Have a great day...!!! When it comes to see successful people, we have different mindset for them, like they have some special super power which make them special then us. But the secret of success rooted in focus on daily habits and systems of life which removes the reliance on luck or motivation.
Today, we will going to discuss those one of the daily habit which will make your life efficient and beautiful. These night questions will keep you on the right trajectory to your desired destination. Ask these 5 questions before going to bed and answer honestly to yourself. You don’t need to answer it to anybody, it’s YOU only. Please avoid use of your best buddy! (Your smart phone)
2) Which major task I have completed today? We have our priorities and tasks to complete them. In this fast world we have lots of tasks in front of us but there are few which impacts our life drastically. And those tasks should be in mind to be completed. So, before going to bed ask yourself which major task I have completed today and how it will improve my life. There will be possibility that you have completed one major task or more than one or not even one. After getting honest answer from yourself you need to tell yourself how you can improve and If you have matched expected performance then praise yourself. 3) How much water I have drunk today? This question will amaze you. It seems tricky question or silly question? Being proper hydrated throughout the day means a lot for the healthy life. It has a lots of benefits in life and we can not ignore it. As per research ideal water intake for male is 3.7 liters (15 cups) and for female is 2.7 liters (11 cups). You can set drinking habits and schedules for this also like drinking 2 or 3 cups directly after waking up and so on. But it is mandatory to have track record on water drinking habit. Few benefits of drinking sufficient amount of water is: increases brain power and provides energy to brain, flush our toxins, boosts immune system and many more. 4) What mistake I have done today? This will show mirror to yourself. No one is perfect! Everyone makes mistake in daily life. Top 1% people are those who understand their mistake and correct it. Perfectly said: “Self awareness is super power, Super power are rare.” Understand your mistake whether it is in your relationship, finance decision or diet. And next time correct it. Trust me life will be beautiful. (But you need to be honest with yourself) 5) What will be major task to complete tomorrow? As we have seen importance of major tasks in second question we need prepare ourself for tomorrow. Because past can not be changed but future can be controlled by you. Very well said: “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” The simple act of framing your mindset through constructive questions can jumpstart your productivity. You can vary these questions as per your situation. Make sure you do this for next 21 days and afterwards it will be your one of the most productive habit. As new habit development needs more effort you have to be mentally strong to start this habit. I know, As you have spare 5-10 minutes for reading this article you will do this before going to bed also. Best of luck with this! Nowadays, we have accounts in lots of websites and applications. Every website and application has their own rule of passwords, few asks for normal password, Few asks for uppercase character + lowercase character and few asks for numeric + uppercase character + lowercase character + special sign. Now whenever I am signing up with new website or application I will dictate the importance of website/app and according to it, category or password will be allocate to those website/apps password. Don't forget to keep this passwords list in your safe document. Because we are human and we make mistakes. We needs to prepare ourself for the worst situations. Where I keep my passwords: Cloud based solution to keep your passwords are advised. I keep my passwords in my google drive. I have secret 4 layered folder path for my password document. Unfortunately google drive don't provide facility to lock your folder with passcode. So it is advised to keep your passwords in any of your cloud based platform. In below image I have shared the example of how I save my passwords (Format) Develop habit of updating this list instantly
Initially it will be difficult to for you to maintain habit to update it instantly but when you will be used of it, trust me it will make your life easier. It will remove small time wasting moments from your life which sometime become headache for us. Life is all about making it more efficient with our habits. This is one of the trick to make your life simpler. Hope you will follow this and make things smoother for yourself. Till then enjoy! Take care! If you anticipate first question which is mostly likely to come in your next (& probably every) interview, It might be.. Tell me something about yourself? How you answer this question last time? You may have told them about your education with years & University , about your last role , your accomplishments ,your hobbies & probably little bit about your family background. Right? So was that the right way to answer this question ? Your job is not to answer the interviewer's questions "correctly." There is no correct answer to most interview questions! But the catch here is understanding his expectation, what he wants us to tell. When recruiter ask you who are you, he is not asking who you are as person or what you have did till now , he is asking who you are as professional. He wants to know what do you think is important for job what is your motivation for this particular position, what values you believe in, how about your experience so far in this field and most important he wants to see how relevant you can be while answering such wide question. Let's try to make introduction which can answer all above questions. Only you can prepare best paragraph on you as nobody in this world knows more about you than yourself. Below are 3 questions which can help you to make exciting introduction & remember you need to prepare one story about you not points. Who: Start with pick up lines, that define your passion for that profession, why you choose to be that. which will create excitement & he/she will listen you with great interest. I still remember one guy started his introduction with these line . "I build nation in small old rooms. (took pause for 2 seconds) My name is ABC and I am teacher in government school of my village." No its not about being poetic but in above lines he expressed many thing. This lines shows how he see his job, he was not limited up to teaching kids of village, he believes he is builder of nation. He has bigger picture about his job then just source of income. You can prepare something similar for your profession which defines who you are & what you do. How: Second is explaining your experience & education. Here many people commit mistake. It's not time to explain your total experience or telling your score or telling your achievements during your masters, Dale Carnegie told "Talk in Terms of the Other Person’s Interests " it's time to explain how your experience match with their job description. How your education, certifications & relevant experience are in same line with what they are looking for & what awards & recommendations you received for performing those tasks which is your forte. Beautifully said by Mr Deepak "Certifications demonstrate knowledge, but not expertise. People DO NOT hire you for what you know, they hire you for the results you can bring." End with why you are here , what's most exciting thing that you read in job description, brand image of company or whichever is your genuine motivation to apply for that position.(That shows your sense of purpose and seriousness towards the role). Collecting brownie point: While preparing your introduction never give them details which are already there in resume, give human touch, put something personal ,something you like most about their culture or what you believe in. Something for which recruiter remember you. Be connector detector. In case if you know who is going to take your interview well in advance find similarities what common skill set you have with that hiring manager, companies you both worked with or writer you both follow. That's how you can connect with that person in better way (and that's why visiting manager's LinkedIn profile before interview is so important). Because they are not only looking for technical fit only they are looking for cultural fit as well. While telling them your soft skills be picky with your words like - Rather than telling my strength is my "Never give up attitude" tell them "Ability to float shrinking ship". Create curiosity in other person. Let him ask you about that and then explain your achievements. In your introduction if you want to put your hobbies or burning desire in any particular field which is not directly related to your scope of job , You definitely can tell them but rather then just telling them "I love photography or I really enjoy writing" you can ask them to visit your website or your blogs to see your work & also course that you have taken in that. That actually shows your level of commitment & passion. Understand recruitment is two way street - a mutually beneficial conversation, not a race to get hired but at the same time your introduction must tell them you are not one of many & again remember you need to prepare story not list of events. AuthorMaharshi Vyas - IIM |Placements, Corporate Relations & Strategic tie-ups. How to manage finances!??? Is one of the question which was like bad nightmares for me in my initial earning days. Then I took initiative to solve it and read a lot of books on it. Hence, I designed one formula to manage my personal finance. I am applying this formula since 16 months and it's making wonder for me. Are you struggling to manage your hard earned income? Like how much to spend how much to save! If yes, then read this full article! If No, then also read this full article to know more about my 40:30:20:10 Rule ;) This formula applies for income range of ₹ 20,000 to ₹ 1,50,000. This formula is totally my personal opinion, your thinking can be different and right in your case. Let's start! 40 Stands for: You should limit your monthly regular expenses to 40% of your monthly take home salary. This includes House rent, Food, Electricity, Bills (Recharges), Cosmetics, Petrol, Automobile maintenance and etc. Calculate now and answer this Case 1: Your current monthly regular expenses are less then 40%? -> Hi-Fi (You are saving more bucks) Case 2: Your current monthly regular expenses are more than 40%? -> You need to cut down your expenses Case 3: Your current monthly regular expenses are equal to 40%? -> Sahi Pakde he! (Written in Hindi - You are going perfectly right) I am not telling you to compromise with your lifestyle or live life like Kanjoos Baniya (Frugal Guy) but you needs to have calculations in your mind. It will give you more lavish life in long run, trust me. Where to keep this funds: I have 3 bank accounts and on the 1st date of every month I used transfer 40% of my monthly take home salary in one account and make sure I will utilise this bank account only for my daily/monthly regular expenses. You also can try this. 30 Stands for: This 30% reserved for, we can say Short term savings or Investment on own-self. The best investment I have made till today is on own-self. Yes, you heard it right. Short term savings means, you are planning trip to Dubai after 8 months then you will utilise this 30% for Dubai trip. 30% includes Holidays, Hobby classes (guitar, dance and many more), special things from your dream list, rewards you give to yourself or family member or friends after achievement. 30% segment is one of my favourite segment of all. Where to keep this funds: As I have mentioned I have different bank accounts for different purpose. I have one bank account which accumulate these short term funds. Even I prefer to have short period FDs (Fixed deposits) or Liquid funds in mutual funds to get good returns. 20 Stands for: Spend 20% of your income to repay your installments and for Financial services (Insurance, Mediclaim and all ). Nowadays, we tend to get high value products with 0% interest or with higher interest rate. Don't hesitate! Enjoy your life, be surrounded by latest gadgets but make sure your instalments should not exceed than 20% or your monthly income. For an example you are earning ₹ 60,000 a month. You have limit of ₹ 12,000 for Instalments and your Recurring financial services like insurances, Medicalims and etc. 10 stands for: Long term investment. Don't touch this funds till you have your worst condition of life or you crossed age of 55 years. Where to keep this funds: There are lots of genuine options available in market but as I am not financial expert, I can not tell you perfectly. I will share what I am doing for this. I have started SIPs of my 10% funds. You can go for PPF, SIPs, RDs and many more! 40:30:20:10 rule to manage my finances worked for me! Let's hope it will work for you guys also.
